What is The Self Storage Hub?
The Self Storage Hub is a self-storage business founded in 2024, located in Great Barr on a secure industrial estate. We provide storage solutions for a variety of needs, including home storage, business storage, student storage, and more.
When Can I access my unit?
You have 24/7 access to your unit. Upon booking, you will receive a gate code and a customized key that grants access to both the industrial estate and your unit at any time.

Do you provide short-term and long-term storage options?
Yes! We operate on a non-contracted term, giving you complete flexibility to store your items for as long as you wish.
Can I upgrade or downsize my unit later?
Absolutely. If you wish to upgrade or downsize your unit:

- Alternatively, speak with one of our managers, who can assist you in processing your request.
Are your storage units drive-up accessible?
Yes, our facility is designed for convenience. You can drive up to the building and use the available trolleys, pallets, and cages to easily transport your goods in and out of your unit.

How secure is your facility?
Our facility is highly secure. Key security features include:
- Alarmed units for every customer.
- 24/7 surveillance with state-of-the-art CCTV cameras.
- Automatic estate gates that close during off-work hours for an additional layer of protection.
- Unique gate codes provided to customers, allowing secure access to the estate, building, and their storage unit.
Do you have 24/7 CCTV surveillance?
Yes, we utilize the most up-to-date CCTV surveillance cameras to ensure round-the-clock monitoring and safety.
Are the units alarmed?
Yes, every unit is equipped with its own alarm. Only the customer can access their unit using a unique key fob.
Is the facility located in a gated community?
Yes, our facility is situated within the Hamstead Industrial Estate, which features an automatic gate system.
- The gate operates from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM.
- Outside these hours, all customers can still access the facility using their unique access code.
Can I add my own lock to the unit?
Absolutely! You are welcome to bring your own lock. Alternatively, we provide high-quality locks for purchase at just £5.00.
Pricing & Payment
How much does storage cost?
We offer a range of unit sizes to provide affordable storage options. Prices start at just £31.20 per month and go up to £450 per month, depending on the size of the unit you need.
How does your billing cycle work?
We operate on a Date of Month Billing Cycle, meaning all customers are billed on the 1st of each month. If you join us mid-month, your initial bill will include a prorated charge for the remaining days of the current month, plus the full charge for the upcoming month. This ensures all customers are aligned on a single billing cycle, simplifying the process for everyone.
Why do you charge a prorated rate for mid-month sign-ups?
Example:
If you sign up on 15th January and the service, you’re enquiring about costs £100 per month, your first bill will include:
- A £50 prorated charge for the remainder of January (15 days at half the monthly cost).
- The £100 charge for February.
This means your total charge on 15th January will be £150.
You will not be charged on 1st February because you’ve already paid for that month. Your next billing date will be on 1st March, and you’ll continue to be billed on the 1st of each month thereafter.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major payment methods for your convenience.

Can I access my storage unit 24/7?
Yes, you have full 24/7 access to your storage unit for your convenience.
Is there vehicle access for easy loading and unloading?
Yes, our facility allows for vehicle access, making loading and unloading simple and efficient.
Do you provide moving trolleys or carts?
Yes, we offer a variety of equipment to assist with your move, including:
- Moving trolleys
- Cages
- Carts
- Pallets
- Pump trucks
These tools are available to help you transport your goods easily and efficiently.
Can someone else access my unit on my behalf?
We do not access units on behalf of customers. However, if you wish to grant access to a friend or relative, you can provide them with your key, allowing them to access your unit.
